Last week project trip to Lithuania for the Interreg BSR – Energy Circle Project meeting started from Jyväskylä on a hydrogen bus. It was a relaxing and uplifting ride!
The project meeting was very rewarding. We worked for two days in Jelgava, Latvia. We prepared a competence profile and a method that helps SMEs and local authorities assess their ability to act as drivers of the circular economy and energy self-sufficiency. We developed a method that facilitates the work of target groups in long-term energy planning.
Study visits to the Agrofirma Tervete biogas plant and the Gren district heating company facilities clarified the actions of the clean transition at its best. Līga Vodopjanova-Upāne Zemgale Planning Region made us feel welcome!
Energy Circle is an EU project co-financed by Interreg Baltic Sea Region.
