PV 4 All

October 2022 – September 2024

The Photovoltaics for All project was a project co-funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region and the EU, which promoted awareness of the possibilities of photovoltaics in five countries in the Baltic Sea region. In Finland, an impartial sizing calculator was developed as part of the project. You can find the calculator in the top bar of our website.

A key goal of the project is to develop models to increase the use of solar power and alternatively “green electricity” for heat pumps and local district heating systems. Special attention is given to population groups, organizations, and companies that have not yet adopted this increasingly affordable and easy-to-use energy form, partly because it has long been more expensive.

During the project, efforts were made to disseminate information on, for example, the benefits of solar panels and energy communities. The information was widely disseminated to various stakeholders. The project also took into account the needs of people in a weak economic position. In Germany, for example, PV 4 All disseminated information particularly in urban rental neighborhoods, and in Finland, information dissemination extended to the most remote municipalities in the Central Finland region.
